The beauty and freshness of flowers from around the world are
possible thanks to the dedication and efficiency of our employees
and the employees of companies that handle an important part of
our business: rapid transportation and freshness maintenance.
Our flowers are cut fresh at the right moment at farms, and carefully
transported from the field to the post harvest area. There, the
flowers are carefully selected and classified by the expert hands
of our florists, then they are properly cleaned and hydrated in
cold rooms for about 20 hours.
They are then expertly packed and shipped quickly in refrigerated
trucks to the awaiting cargo planes that take them to their Country
of destination.
The product that is shipped to the U.S. is efficiently cleared
through customs and taken to our pre-cooling warehouse, which
is expertly run by Melex Inc, our logistics partners. Once the
temperature is again optimal the flowers are put in our chartered
refrigerated trucks, run and operated by our long-time transportation
partners, Wayne Carr trucking.
In California the product arrives to our refrigerated warehouse
quickly dispatched to our customers in our fleet of refrigerated
Trucks and vans, to our points of sale, or shipped to our customers
with the freight-handler of their choice.
At Brilliant Farms we were doing
“just-in-time inventory” before it
was fashionable.
